Building Community and Legacy: All Things MOMMIE Celebrates Five Years of MomsGiving
When women create spaces for one another, entire communities flourish. That’s the heart behind All Things MOMMIE, an Indianapolis-based organization founded by Erien Dickens to empower, uplift, and celebrate mothers through connection, healing, and sisterhood.
This November marks a powerful milestone: the fifth anniversary of MomsGiving, the organization’s signature event honoring motherhood in all its forms. What began as an intimate gathering among a small group of mothers has evolved into a citywide celebration of love, resilience, and legacy. MomsGiving will return for the fifth year on November 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Daniel’s Vineyard.
“MomsGiving is about legacy,” says Erien Dickens. “It’s about celebrating the women who came before us, showing up for each other now, and creating something better for the next generation.”
Since its founding, All Things MOMMIE has evolved into more than just a brand; Dickens has spearheaded a motherhood movement, inclusive of mothers, bonus mothers, and cherished mother-figures. Through events, wellness programming, and year-round community engagement, the organization offers mothers a safe space to “take off the superwoman cape,” as Dickens describes it, and replenish themselves as women, providers, and leaders.
“So often, we pour endlessly into our families, our jobs, and our communities,” Dickens shares. “MomsGiving is about creating a moment to pour back into ourselves—to rest, to laugh, to heal, and to remind one another that we’re not alone.”
Each year, MomsGiving brings together women from across Central Indiana for an evening filled with joy, reflection, and connection. The event features women-owned businesses in a live vendor fair, giveaways, dinner, live music, storytelling, and moments that honor the shared experiences of motherhood. Beyond celebration, it serves as a reminder that community care is the foundation of thriving families and neighborhoods.
Business Equity for Indy proudly highlights All Things MOMMIE as a shining example of grassroots leadership driving meaningful impact. As the organization enters its fifth year of MomsGiving, BEI companies and partners have an opportunity to help make this milestone event accessible to more mothers and caregivers throughout our community.
Corporate allies can sponsor MomsGiving by purchasing event tickets that will be donated to mothers and mother figures who might not otherwise have the means to attend. This simple act of generosity allows businesses to directly invest in community well-being while celebrating the women who form the backbone of Indiana’s workforce and families.
“When companies choose to invest in MomsGiving, they’re saying to mothers everywhere: ‘We see you. We value you. And we’re committed to building a community where you can thrive,” Dickens says.
MomsGiving is more than an event—it’s a movement of love, equity, and shared purpose. BEI invites member companies and community partners to participate in this year’s celebration by sponsoring or donating tickets, ensuring that every mother who wishes to attend can do so.
Together, we can honor the women who nurture, lead, and inspire us all.
