Overview

Brief Program Summary: Comcast developed Comcast Rise in November 2020 to address the disparity and equity issues among business owners of color. Through Comcast Rise, minority- owned businesses can have a free commercial produced by Comcast, secure a 90-day schedule of advertising time, obtain free telecommunications and technology support for one year, and receive media consultation. Comcast partnered with the Black Indy Chamber of Commerce to award grant money to minority-owned businesses for these purposes. Comcast has also provided free Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for a number of nonprofit organizations that support education and workforce development outcomes for Black individuals ages 0-25, including the Indianapolis Urban League, Boys & Girls Club, 100 Black Men, Indiana Black Expo and Code Indy. By supporting these organizations, Comcast is supporting the educatoin and workforce development outcomes for individuals in our community.
