Brief Program Summary: Girls Empower the Moment (GEMS) is based on empowering young
women to achieve emotional and economic self-sufficiency by ensuring they graduate from high
school and begin their college or career journeys. GEMS focuses on academic readiness,
social/emotional life skills, financial education, and community service.
Success Metrics: Ben Davis High School: Graduation rates, academic honors diplomas, dual
credit/AP courses, college graduation rates.
