Overview
Brief Program Summary: The Informatics Diversity-Enhanced Workforce (iDEW) initiative
addresses local and national IT/informatics workforce needs through community partnerships,
attracting diverse high school students to informatics subjects with interesting, innovative and
engaging programs, mentorship support, and development of skills and knowledge, providing a
successful and diverse workforce that can power the digital economy. The iDEW initiative will
introduce computing concepts through real- world problems and solving those problems using
Informatics solutions that are exciting and hands-on.
