Overview
Brief Program Summary: Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a nationally recognized, non-profit
organization that provides in depth, cross-curricular learning experiences and opportunities for K-
12 schools. They specialize in the areas of STEM with 3 main pathways – computer science,
engineering, and biomedical science. Additional to exposure in these areas, students also gain
incredibly applicable employability skills, personal skills, and professional skills that prepare them
for the ever changing workforce regardless of the career path they choose. Each course has a
roughly similar layout of understanding concepts and vocabulary, experimenting and testing
ideas, and then applying their research and data to solve a real world problem.
