Overview
Brief Program Summary: School on Wheels provides tutoring and educational advocacy for
students experiencing homelessness.
Success Metrics: • 75% of students who attend at least 10 sessions will receive positive, pro-
active communication as it relates to their academic success sent to their parent/guardian
• 40% of parents whose students are involved with School on Wheels programming will
engage in the school community by attending a school-wide event or individual meeting with
school staff
• 90% of students engaged in tutoring will have a personalized learning plan to direct the
tutoring hour specific to their strengths and areas for growth
• 70% of teachers surveyed will report that School on Wheels students demonstrated
maintenance or an increase in the quality of work done
• 90% of students that receive services through the duration of the school year will be
promoted to the next grade level
• 70% of students engaged with School on Wheels for the duration of the school year will
maintain or improve their language arts and mathematics skills
