What is Juneteenth?

Juneteenth commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It is a day to honor Black Americans’ rich history, culture, and contributions to America’s culinary traditions. The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, located in Indianapolis, serves as an apt venue for this celebration, highlighting the ongoing journey toward equality and justice.
